Who I Love

Day 7: Beloved

You warm up my heart and my soul is overjoyed.

I feel like I am in a garden of sunflowers and it is snowing.

When you are near me, I want to frolic everywhere.

You are like a video game that lets me level up all the time.

You remind me of a seasoned tri-tip waiting for my teeth to sink in.

You are my beloved and I can not be with out you.

I am an older woman inspired to not give up due to life struggles and to strive in everything I do to achieve my goals. I work from home with creating different art pieces. Helping the homeless community in Denver is important to me as well. I like being creative and posting on my blogging about experiences, new information, and lessons learned.   1. “I feel as if I’m in a garden of sunflowers” is a lovely, lovely line. “And it is snowing” seems contradictory — do you mean that you get the chills? Or, is it the thrills of contradictory emotions which love engenders in us all?
    Either way, I loved it!

    1. When I am with the person to whom I love, I feel that I am walking with the sunflowers but I live in Denver where there is snow all around currently. I appreciate you wanting to understand the emotion in this poem, but sometimes my explanation will not my since. Thank you for reading this!
