From the mouth of Elevated Denver. “We’re excited to share that Episode 1: Reimagining Homelessness Solutions: Inside the Collaboratory of our special three-part podcast series is now live!
This episode takes you behind the scenes of Elevated Denver’s Collaboratory, where lived experts, service providers, policymakers, and business leaders came together to rethink how we address homelessness. You’ll hear directly from co-designers and champions about the challenges, breakthroughs, and what makes this model so powerful.” Listen now!
There are two organizations that I am supporting Redline Contemporary Art Center and Elevated Denver. Of course, you are welcome to donate to my site to grow my business.
Redline has been a great support for me. I have been able to become a real artist and have confidence in myself. They promoted and connected me to other places (artlifting) to improve my success as an artist. Donate
Elevated Denver has helped me become known in the local community as an advocate for the unhoused (the homeless). They allowed me to be on their podcast and be on their advisory board. They are working on solutions to homelessness, for example using a collaborator to find that solution. Donate
Well, I am trying to build my art business. I intend to share my practices with the unhoused to help them feel that they too can feel like a member of society. I sew items for a therapeutic value. I also make art for a therapeutic value. I also love to repurpose, recycle, and reuse items for art, clothing, or other meaningful things. You can either purchase from my products page or donate.
I have been trying to reuse or extend the life of an item for quite some time. Early in my creative practice, I started making things from throw-away items. Finally, if I can’t make either of those choices, I recycle. This is my message to the world.
I repurpose a lot of clothes. I prefer making long-lasting items like tote bags, pouches, and other accessories. I have used my dad’s old clothes to repurpose a skirt, art tapestry, and purse. I made earrings, book covers, and much more. I like to use old mail to paint and collage with.
My goal is to work on the trash on this earth by doing the 5 R’s linked below. I want to encourage everyone to do at least one of them or all of them to help with the cause. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about how I am trying to structure a change in how we live our lives.
Here are some links to ideas to try to help save Mother Earth one repurposed item at a time:
One artist that I look up to is Kalliopi Monoyios. She is repurposing recycled items into fashion. Scottie Burgess does some found object repurposing in some work.
Contact me if you would like to donate any clothes.
I was felt so honored to have my art featured with others at Neiman Marcus in Cherry Creek mall. Redline Contemporary Art Center is not just a gallery, they help struggling artists with living spaces and studio space, like Reach Studios (like me), and much more.
Here is a picture of my art featured:
Please stop by to check out the art from me and other Redline artists. Thanks for reading.
I had my first solo show up on the walls of Montview Presbyterian Church since the the beginning of September. I am not show how to feel. They were so kind to allow my work to be on display and give me an opportunity to have myself view.
Now I have to get all my art listed on this site and have my prices ready. This also means that I need to have all my products ready for sale. Thank you for stopping by and reading my ramble about this show. I am so proud!
I have work with them for a few years and I am glad to be apart of this movement. Elevated Denver is looking at the problem of homelessness through an unhoused lens. Sharing stories, connecting with people who care, are living the problem, and those who want to learn more. I would love for everyone to understand the systematic problem that provides barriers to solutions.
Keep an eye on their site to see what’s coming up next. Meanwhile, visit the podcast and see all that has been done. See you soon.

I am struggling this year for the holidays to give out gifts. I am offerings handmade gifts. Lanyards, 5x 7 zipper pouches, tote bags, plastic bag dispenser, scrunchies, and other small gifts.
I am also listing my wish list from Amazon for people who wants to buy my gifts: My Wish List.
I made a bunch of lanyards. I have a few left but most are gone. I also made some trivets/potholders. This things from above some were requested and some no one care about. I am done with the gift giving. Now it’s time for resolutions.
Resolutions. I don’t know if there are resolutions but plans for the new year. I want to start my material inventory for COG calculations. I need to start my inventory to sell. I am joining a couple of galleries to sell my art work and create monthly for that inventory. I think it is time to create another passive income with art listening. Let companies borrow my art for reproduction. Get my bookkeeping on track and file taxes. Finally, I want this year to push me into a person who can be self-sufficient with my income.
I know that this sounds ambitious but I also need to write a business plan to make it start happening. It is time to stop playing around with starting a biz and actually do it. I am 52 and if I don’t make this happen now, I never will. I have been getting emotional support from my friends and family but people that isn’t enough. People don’t realize that as a collective, we should all support small biz and all the people we already know. That’s how the rich do it. They invest in each other to help themselves grow. We should do the same. Now that’s a resolution, support all the artists that I know physically by going to shows and financially even if it is something small that I buy.
Hello. I was in an exhibition: Tracing Treads on at Redline Contemporary Art Center. I am also at Artlifting.com. I am sell some of my products on my products page. So I am also doing youth art mentoring to give a space for the young minds. I am trying to leave myself open for commission works too.
I am making art for myself and for Artlifing. I also make hand made goods for sale which is also part of my creative process. I sew pouches, tote bags, and refashion clothing. I make pendants and stretch bracelets. I do my best at keeping up with inventory. Feel free to contact me with specific work.
I come from the unhoused community and give back to them in multiple ways. I sit on panels and boards to provide my expertise. I also advocate in other ways because my people need their voice heard. I have been on a podcast from Elevated Denver to help them with their work and share stories. they are a non-profit and could benefit from you donations.
